This week, as July draws to a close, explore opportunities you can work towards throughout the month of August! A mix of fellowships, grants, and residencies, these deadlines give you time to research the ins and outs of each program and perfect your application. This way, when fall rolls around, you’ll be exactly where you need to be to take your creative and professional life to new levels!
The Homiens Art Prize

The Homeins Art Prize is open to both emerging artists and established professionals. Winners earn global exposure to the art world, making this an ideal place for artists in the beginning of their careers to blossom. Three winners are selected, as well as 12 finalists, and prizes amount to over $12,000 across the board. No matter your experience, medium, or the focus of your work, all artists are encouraged to apply to strengthen their ties to the professional art world!

Center for Performance Research Residency
The Center for Performance Research is seeking NYC-based contemporary dancers, performers, and time-based artists for this year-long residency (January-December 2027). A cohort of six winners will be presented with opportunities to explore and expand their craft, rehearsal/studio space, and a $2,000 stipend. If you’ve worked with CPR before and you’re a performance based artist in New York City, this opportunity is perfect for you!

The Bronx Cultural Visions Fund

This grant opportunity is designed to foster advancements in performance arts for creatives based in the Bronx, specifically for those with operating budgets of $250,000 or less. Open to individuals or organizations, they offer two kinds of grants: Concept Development grants, which award up to $10,000 to those with strong ideas in need of funding, and Production grants, which award up to $20,000 to those ready to produce completed work. If you’re a creative in the Bronx, don’t miss out on this great opportunity to bring your work to new levels!

Scuola Piccola Zattere Residency

This residency, located in Venice, is open to artists, curators, researchers, architects, and writers. With a €5,000 fellowship grant, €2,000 research budget, complimentary round-trip travel and accommodation fees and shared studio space, this three-month residency (January-April 2027) provides an incredible opportunity for artists and/or intellectuals to expand their horizons and hone their crafts, while immersing themselves in Italian culture and life.

Queens Museum Jerome Foundation Fellowship
This fellowship, run by the Queens Museum, offers $20,000 to two visual artists who commit to the year-long program. In addition to the fellowship stipend, winning artists also receive mentorship from an established, New York based artist, as well as a professional development consultation from

museum staff. The culmination of the fellowship is a solo exhibit at the Queens Museum in 2028. Open to artists from any of the five boroughs, this program prioritizes those who have never received any kind of grant or solo gallery opportunities.
